Platform Overview

Jobkar is a professional job and social application built for small to large organisations. It bridges job seekers, independent consultants, human resource professionals, and company executives on a single unified platform — enabling seamless job posting, candidate discovery, and complete hiring lifecycle management.

User Roles at a Glance

Every Jobkar account is tied to one of four roles chosen at sign-up. Your role determines which features are available to you.

Personal

Job seeker looking for career opportunities.

Browse jobs, apply, manage applications, follow companies.

Consultant

Independent recruiter — no company registration required.

Access open-to-work candidates, shortlist & reach out, accept proposals.

HR

Company recruiter managing the full hiring process.

Post jobs, filter applicants, discover candidates — after proposal accepted by Management.

Management

Company owner or executive who registers and manages the company.

Register company, accept/withdraw HR proposals, oversee all hiring activity.

Role is permanent. Once selected during sign-up, your role cannot be changed. If you need a different role, create a new account with a separate email address.

Sign-Up Process

All roles follow the same four-step onboarding flow. The only difference is the role you select on Step 1.

Select Your Role

Choose one of four roles: Personal · Consultant · HR · Management. This determines your platform access — it cannot be changed after sign-up.

Set Your Location

Select your Country, State/Province, and City. This is used to surface relevant jobs and candidates near you.

Enter Personal Details

Provide your Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Password, and Gender.

Choose Your Interests

Pick the job categories or industry topics you want to see in your feed. This powers your personalised content recommendations.

Personal — Job Seeker

Personal accounts are designed for professionals seeking employment. After completing sign-up, you gain full access to job discovery and application features.

Job Discovery

Browse and search jobs filtered by location, category, salary, and company.

Apply for Jobs

Submit applications directly through the platform with your Jobkar profile.

Track Applications

Monitor status of every application — Applied, Reviewed, Shortlisted, Rejected.

Open to Work

Toggle your profile to 'Open to Work' so HR and Consultants can find you.

Feed Personalisation

Your home feed shows jobs and updates matching your selected interests.

Consultant — Independent Recruiter

Consultants can hire and shortlist candidates without registering a company. Access the Hiring section from the left sidebar in the Jobkar Recruiter app or web portal.

Hiring Sidebar

Log in → left sidebar → Hiring. Only 'Open to Work' list is active (no proposal required).

Browse Candidates

View all candidates who have toggled Open to Work on their profiles.

Shortlist Profiles

Review, save, and compare candidate profiles before reaching out.

Send Proposals

Contact candidates directly with a job or project proposal.

No Company Needed

Consultants operate independently — company registration is not required.

HR — Hiring Manager

HR professionals manage the end-to-end hiring process for a registered company. All advanced hiring features are locked until the company Management accepts the HR's proposal.

Pre-requisite: Before any hiring feature is available, an HR must send a proposal to their company and wait for a Management member to accept it. If the company is not yet on Jobkar, ask a colleague with a Management account to register it first.

Activation Steps

Send Proposal

Go to Hiring in the left sidebar → search for your current employer by company name → select it → click Send Proposal.

Await Acceptance

The company's Management member receives your proposal and reviews it. You will be notified once accepted or declined.

Full Access Unlocked

Once accepted, all hiring features become active: Job Posting, Application Filter, Candidate Discovery, and Company Overview.

Post a Job

Create and publish job listings linked to your company.

Filter Applications

Review applicants filtered by skills, experience, location, and more.

Candidate Discovery

Search the Open to Work pool proactively — no proposal needed.

Company Overview

View your current company's profile and key details in Hiring section.

Multiple HR Support

Several HR users can be connected to the same company simultaneously.

Management — Company Owner

Management accounts are responsible for registering the company on Jobkar and governing all HR connections. Without a registered company, HR professionals cannot post jobs or manage hiring.

Company Section

After login → left sidebar → Company. This is your control centre.

Register Company

First-time setup: enter company name, industry, size, location, logo, and description.

Update Company Info

Edit company details at any time to keep the profile accurate and attractive.

Manage HR Proposals

Review all incoming proposals from HR users. Accept or withdraw.

Revoke HR Access

Remove an HR connection at any time — HR loses all access immediately.
